Modern Day Gamers= Wrestling Smarks

Blog - MyBlog

What do gamers and wrestling fan have in common?.........They both like to overdraw everything going on in the industry. Instead of taking information such as a sneak peak or a review as a grain of salt, they like to play detective and look further into the solution. Just like wrestling fans try to find out the skinny on a wrestling match, whose leaving who, and why Vince Mcmahon ruining professional wrestling. Its cool to get the skinny on a certain game or developer, but when you try to break embargos to find out the street date of a game, it causes bad business. Another thing that sickens me is when kids try to insight riots and they don't know the developer from a VGA screen shot.

Its bad enough there's fanboys that like to bicker over everything that has a comparison, especially with games that don't have no significance *Resistance vs Gears*. This kind of nonsense reminds me of back in the 90's when wrestling smarks were on the rise. You had people trying to tell the story before the wrestler could put his tights on. Don't get me started with the "journalism" of wrestling smarks, as it reminds me of people on youtube complaining about the PSP Go, the Ps3 and other gaming consoles for so many silly dumb reasons. You have 9 year olds swearing they know what Cliffy B thinks when he makes gears of war. Its sad and it sickens me of how the gaming industry has evolved into a nosy, arrogant, whose penis is bigger contest. Especially with fans that should just play the games and read the books. Don't get me wrong, its good to show off passion and support for games. Just like wrestling fans appreciate the sport, even though a good majority are a bunch of old school, can't get pass 97, attitude era, nwo shirt wearing, Joey Styles OH MY GAWD worshiping fanatics. Thats good in my book, but when you try to put your hand in the cookie jar and try to reach. It causes not only conflict but arrogant retardation.

Bottom line, can we the gamers just let the developers do their job, the reviewers make their opinions, and come up with better judgment like back in the days when gaming was a hobby and a culture. Now its a business which scares me because business ideas bring ego to the hearts of many. Just like when wrestling was soaring in the 90s and fans wanted to get in Shawn Michaels limo to find out whose going to make a "heel turn". Let us the fans chill and be surprised, instead of trying to be the smark that wants to spoil the surprise for everyone like telling people that Mankind is going to be the new champion a hour before we decide to change the channel to WWE Raw.
